- Read the blog before sending a release to determine if your product is a good fit for the mom and her audience
- Be honest and transparent
- Introduce yourself and speak to the moms as you would anyone else
- Present a mutually beneficial marketing idea
- Don't pay for placement but do remember that some blogs are a business
- Ultimately the blogger is loyal to her readers
I feel very fortunate to know mom bloggers and even more grateful that they are willing to share their insights with companies.

This sounds like it was so much fun! Hope I can be on a panel one day. Oh, the perils of living in North Carolina!
One thing that is a determining factor for how I work with companies is if they call me by my name. If they start their email: "Hi Jennifer", I know they did their homework. If they call me "there" as in "Hi there", then I know they have no clue who I am.
Thanks for all that you do!
Jennifer James
Thank you again for allowing me to participate in this panel. It was very insightful and wonderful to sit up on a panel with so many talented women.

Wow, sounds like an awesome time! I wish all companies had those tips handy and could realize that we aren't in fact here just for the sole purpose of serving them, as THEY like it.
Very cool.
